Family Tradition
A holiday tradition my family has is making a Puerto Rican appetizer called sorullitos. You can make it 2 different ways with or without cheese I prefer it without cheese. A sorullitos is a Latin corn fritter. This is a family tradition because it is a warm sweet treat that puts us in the holiday spirit.
The ingredients you will need is:
2cups
water
1¼tsp.
Salt ½tsp.
sugar 1½cups
GOYA® Fine Yellow Corn Meal 1cup
Corn oil
Directions
Step1
Bring water to boil in medium pot over medium-high heat. Add salt and sugar. Using a whisk, slowly whisk in cornmeal. Reduce heat to low. Cook, whisking constantly until water is absorbed and dough pulls away from the pot, 3-5 minutes.
Step2
Transfer cornmeal mixture to heatproof bowl; mix in cheese until melted and completely incorporated. Let cornmeal mixture sit until cool enough to handle. Divide dough into 25 equal pieces. Roll each piece into 2½”-3″ cigar shape.
Step3
Heat 1½” oil in medium, heavy pot over medium-high heat until oil registers 350°F. Fry corn sticks in batches until golden and crisp, about 3-4 minutes per batch; transfer to paper towel to drain.

Ode to Music
O music I hear you every day
Whenever I press play you take me to a different place
You come in so many different ways
I never know what to play
The way you make me tap my foot or bob my head
You always know how to make my days better
I have no clue what I would do without you
I need you when I am bored
You relieve my stress
You can never be replaced
O music you are the best
90 Words Memoir
It was a hot day in Puerto Rico, and we were going to the beach.
“Be careful Samantha.” my cousin said to me.
My younger cousin came into the car. The car was filled with singing and laughing. Every time we stopped the car, we would yell green light till we moved again. When we got to the beach I could hear the children playing. When I got out of the car and stepped on the soft foot burning sand I knew it was going to be a great day.
Would You Rather
Would you rather live 100 years in the future or live 100 years in the past?
I would much rather live 100 years into the future instead of 100 years in the past. The reason I would not want to live 100 years in the past is because I would not want to see all the things I learn in history or hear on the news in real life. The reason I would want to live 100 years in the future would be because I will be able to how the world has evolved and how everything would be. And I would want to see how different society would be in the future.
